Travelling in London

By London Underground

Travelling by the tube is one of the easiest and fastest ways of getting around London. Trains run from 5.30am - 12.30am. One-day Travel Cards allow unlimited travel on both the tube and bus and this is the most economic way of using public transport.

By Bus

London’s famous red buses operate an extensive service. There is a flat fare of £1.20 for any journey within central London or a One-day Travel Card can also be bought for £3.00. There is an extensive night bus service that runs from 12.30am throughout the night, fares start from £1.50 and Travel Cards can be also used on this service.

By Taxi

London's Black cabs are known all over the world, they can be hailed in the street and the fare is calculated on a meter. The Black cabs are licensed and registered with the local authority and it is recommended that Black Cabs are the safest way to travel in London if choosing to travel by taxi.

By River

Riverboats are not only a way of travelling in London but also a great way of fitting in some extra sightseeing! Departing from Westminster Pier there are services downriver to Greenwich, home of the Royal Observatory and the Cutty Sark or in the opposite direction to Kew, Richmond and the Royal Hampton Court.
