We are pleased to announce the re-opening of the Brockley Rise (HOP) Sportsground. The Ground now offers two new floodlit artificial pitches; one grass rugby pitch; one dual purpose rugby/football pitch; a large grass training area; summer tennis; and social and changing facilities based in temporary buildings.
 
The new artificial pitches provide excellent floodlit training and five-a-side football facilities open to all King’s students and staff and a first class facility for the numerous College hockey teams, who can play their home games on home pitches for the first time in many years. We also continue to work with Stillness Junior and Infant Schools who use the ground on a regular basis, and welcome other local schools and sports clubs who would like to hire facilities at the Ground.
 
The artificial pitches have been a very welcome addition to the King’s College sports provision and, whilst further work is required to complete the development, the Ground is already a source of pride and opportunity for the whole College.
 

Our longer term plans for the ground include provision of a modern and sustainable pavilion with spacious social and changing facilities; development of a wetland area; and natural landscaping which encourages wildlife.

Directions from station:
Turn left out of the station onto Honor Oak Park, walking straight over the cross road until you reach the end. Turn left onto Brockley Rise and the grounds are on your right hand side.
 
By road
Junction 2 off the M25. Follow the A2 towards London. Drive Blackheath Common, and continue on the A2, heading towards New Cross. When you reach Deptford, turn left into Florence Road, which becomes the B218. Continue past Crofton Park station on your left, until you reach the traffic lights. Turn left at the lights, and then first left into Brockley Rise. The grounds are on your right hand side.

 Parking and Cycle racks
 
There are plenty of bicycle racks and parking on a first come first served basis.

Floodlights: used in conjunction with hire of the ground; if in use, lights will be turned off at 9pm at the latest.
Deliveries: between 7am to 8pm Monday to Friday; 8am to 1pm Saturday; no deliveries on Sunday or public holidays.
Facilities for disabled users: the ground is fully accessible.
Noise: there are management arrangements in place and users are encouraged to arrive and leave quietly. Please do contact the Ground Manager if you have any concerns.
Hire of Facilities: bookings from local schools/sports clubs etc are welcome subject to availability (link to Hire of Facilities).
Local Community Use: We continue to work with Stillness Junior and Infant Schools who use the ground on a regular basis and now have direct access. We will also be hosting the Street League, a recognised nationally and internationally as a leading 'Development through Football’ project. Other local schools and sports clubs etc are welcomed
