24/7 Prayer week 2010: 17-24 February

Travelling well

The Chaplaincy is holding a week of prayer 24 hours a day for 7 days. This will begin at lunchtime on Ash Wednesday in the College Chapel on the Strand campus and will finish a week later in the Chapel at the informal Eucharist on the 24th.
In between these dates there will be many opportunities for people to pray and learn more about prayer:

• A Labyrinth set up in the Strand Chapel for the week.
• A cycle of daily (and nightly) prayers based around the traditional Monastic offices
• Workshops & special information events to find out about issues to pray for in the wider world

At the heart of this is a commitment to have at least one person praying at any given time during the week. We plan to take the 24/7 prayers on the road and we will be travelling from the Strand to Guys, Denmark Hill & Waterloo to pray overnight on the different campuses during the week.

Joining in

You can come into the chapel at any time during the week (entry to the college will need your college ID) for private or group prayer. There will be events going on throughout the week, and you can see the timetable here, just click on the 17th February to see the week’s events.

If you would like to sign up to say you will definitely be in the chapel, so that we can make sure there is always someone there, you can put your name down on our rota by following the steps below.
