A week of events co-ordinated by the Chaplaincy

Monday 20 February

Holiness and Wisdom in the Process of Dying - a forum discussing how we die, with reference to the King's College London motto, 'Sancte et Sapienter'.

Time: 17.00-19.00 (refreshments from 17.00; forum starts at 17.30)

Place: Dunwiddy Lecture Theatre, Cicely Saunders Institute, Denmark Hill

Tuesday 21 February (Shrove Tuesday)

Pancake Party - free pancakes for all!

Time: 12.30-14.00

Place: FWB Conservatory at Waterloo

Ceilidh - a fun time of dancing to traditional folk music played by a live band with full instructions how to do it!  The bar will be open from 18.15.  Dancing starts at 19.00.  Tickets are available from the chaplaincy offices and cost £2.50 (or £3.50 on the door).

Time: 18.30 till late

Place: Tutu’s night club, Strand Campus

Wednesday 22 February (Ash Wednesday)

Services of prayer and penitence to mark the beginning of Lent, with ashing.

Services will take place at 13.10 (in College Chapel, Strand and the Chapel of Thomas Guy) and at 17.10 (in the Chapel of Thomas Guy).

Thursday 23 February

'Holiness and Wisdom and the beginning of life: When does human life become morally significant?' 

Format: Each speaker will speak for 10-15 minutes, presenting their perspective and drawing on their own experience, followed by an opportunity to engage in conversation with the other speakers and the audience, as questions are taken from audience members.

Time: 18.00

Place: New Hunts House, Lecture Room 2, Guy's Campus
