Desmond Tutu Visiting Professor in Post Conflict Societies

The Most Revd Desmond Tutu marked King's 175th anniversary The College was delighted to welcome one of our most distinguished graduates The Most Revd Desmond Tutu as the first Visiting Professor in Post-Conflict Societies during the Spring semester of 2004. This was to mark King's 175th anniversary.

One of his roles was to teach students studying for the Associateship of King's College (AKC).

The Revd Professor N Barney PityanaMost recently we have had The Revd Professor N Barney Pityana, Vice-Chancellor and Principal of the University of South Africa (UNISA), spend time with us in this capacity in 2006-07.

While he was here he undertook ongoing research into theology and human rights and their place in the world-class higher education context.

During his time with us Professor Pityana delivered two keynote lectures in December and spoke at the Opening of Term Service in January 2007.
