Rio Branco Chair applications

Applications now open for the Rio Branco Chair position at the King's Brazil Institute

The Fundação Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoas de Nível Superior (CAPES), the Rio Branco Institute, and King’s College London, are selecting candidates for a scholarship for the Rio Branco Chair in International Relations at King’s. The programme aims to send researchers, intellectuals and public policy-makers to King’s, providing a favourable environment for the analysis of the role Brazil plays in the international arena and of the positions adopted by the country on global issues.

Benefits:

From CAPES:

  • Monthly scholarship of £3,500 (three thousand five hundred pounds);
  • Relocation stipend;
  • Assistance with the purchase of flight tickets Brazil/UK/Brazil;
  • Health insurance.

From King’s:

  • The selected candidate will be admitted as a member of King’s, with access to the College libraries and the Brazil Institute resources;
  • £1,500 (one thousand five hundred pounds) monthly for up to three school months for accommodation costs in London;
  • Exemption from schools fees.

Duration:

Minimum 3 months and maximum 12.
