Scholarships for graduating students at King's to study in China

Two Chinese Government Scholarships are available for King's students, finishing their studies in 2012, to study for a Master's or PhD in China. The deadline for applications is 2 March 2012. For further information please see our Chinese Government Scholarships page.

Scholarships for Chinese nationals to study at King's
(1) King's-CSC PhD Scholarship Programme

Two scholarships for full tuition fees and a stipend for living expenses are available for citizens of the People's Republic of China undertaking PhD study at the Lau China Institute, commencing in September 2012. The scholarships are jointly provided by the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and King's College London. Applications for the King's-CSC scholarships will be considered in any disciplinary field in which the Institute offers supervision. (2) CSC PhD scholarships (open application)

Please note that for the first time this year the CSC is making scholarships available to Chinese students who have already commenced study outside China. For further information, please see the following three documents:

Scholarship for all nationalities to study at King's: China Institute PhD Studentship

One scholarship is available for a student of any nationality undertaking PhD study at the China Institute, commencing in September 2012. The China Institute PhD Studentship will cover tuition fees at home/EU level and provide an annual stipend at the research council level for up to three years subject to satisfactory progress. Please note that students who are required to pay tuition fees at the overseas rate are eligible to apply but will be required to cover the difference between the home/EU and international fee level from alternative sources. For details of supervision available at the China Institute, please click here.
