Educational and Professional Background

Dr Hu Naijun received his PhD in Management at the School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University, in 2010, researching China’s pension and healthcare system under the supervision of Professor Yang Yansui who is one of the most famous experts in this area in China. He remained in the School as a postdoctoral researcher assistant after that. In 2008 and 2009 he spent six months at the Asia Research Center at the London School of Economics and Political Science, as a visiting student supported by a scholarship from the State Scholarhip Fund. He did a Master's Degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, 2003-2006, after doing a BSc in the School of Materials science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, 1999-2003.

Research

2007 to present

Research on the medical care and insurance system in China; the task of medical care and insurance reform supported by China’s State Council; regional reform of China’s medical care and insurance system. Pilot project and field work in ShenMu county in ShanXi province and ZhanJiang city in Guangdong province. Corporate project of China’s medical care and insurance reform with The Blue Shield and Blue Cross organization in USA.

2007-2008

Research on family planning policy and social security policy. Social Security Mechanisms on the Care Girl Action, program entrusted by Population and Family Planning Committee. Research on social security system of people joining family planning system.

2007 to present

Research on the social security system in China. Research on the Competence Construction of the Institutions Conducting Social Insurance, entrusted exclusively by Labor and Social Security Department. Strategic Research on the insurance of civil servants. Social security system extending to civil public servant. Endowment for the urban employees system in China. Including the finance, tax , structure and management in this system.

2006 to present

Research on the management of the Enterprises’ Annuities in some big companies. Research on the Trustees in China’s Enterprises’ Annuities such as PingAn Insurance Company. The relationship between the Big companies and the Trustees. Such as the Enterprises’ Annuity of China National Petroleum Corporation. The research of the tax and legal course of China’s Enterprises’ Annuities.

2007 to present

Research on the Public Compensation system of China’s civil servants. Research on and calculation of the pension system reform in public sector. Executive study of pension reform in the Public sector. Supported by China’s Ministry of Human Resource and Social Security.

2006 to present

Research towards training of China’s Certified Financial Planners. Includes: the course “The welfare of the employee and the planning of the retirement”; training the financial planners of the big banks in China, such as the financial plan managers in ICBC, Bank of China, China’s Construction Bank, The communication Bank of China etc; introduction to the pension system abroad such as USA, UK
