Please see below for how to request a place if you are not a student at the China Institute. Please note that all China Institute modules are at Level 7 module i.e. can be taken for credit only by Master's level students, and not by undergraduate or PhD students.
Modules currently offered (2012-13)
Interdepartmental students
Taking a China Institute module for credit
If you are a student at another department and you wish to take one of our modules for academic credit, you should check first of all with your own department whether this is allowed within the programme specifications of the degree that you are taking. If it is, then you should contact us via china-institute@kcl.ac.uk to check on availability of places. Only if places are available and have not already been filled by our own students will they be offered to interdepartmental students. If you are offered a place you will be asked to join a particular seminar group, if the module involves multiple seminar groups.
Auditing
If you wish to audit a module (i.e. attend lectures but not take the module for credit), you should check with the relevant module tutor, and inform us via china-institute@kcl.ac.uk so that we can make e-learning resources available to you.
