Graduate exchange and collaboration
A small number of graduate students have also taken advantage of exchange possibilities over recent years. King’s College London administers a competition for one-month Partnership Awards which support a visit from King’s to UNC, and recent awards have been made to students in areas as different as Philosophy of Mind and Palliative Care. For details of the next competition, see this link.
Some UNC students have been able to spend an extended period at King’s by holding a dissertation fellowship or similar.
The Alliance will always seek to assist graduate students on either campus to carry out visits: do not hesitate to contact the convenors, Bob Miles or David Ricks, having first discussed your plans with your main doctoral supervisor.
Katie Walker, a graduate student at UNC, is currently visiting King's and blogging about her time in London. While at King's, Katie will meeting with faculty and graduate students in Literature and in the Medical Humanities to discuss future collaboration.
