London Medieval Graduate Network
The London Medieval Graduate Network was founded by members of King's College London and University College London as a means of promoting conversation and collaboration among medievalists in London and the surrounding area. All nearby graduate medievalists are welcome! For more details on any events, especially if you are keen to share your work in the seminar series, contact the committee at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Forthcoming events include:
Thursday 29 May, 09.30-19.00
London Medieval Graduate Network Conference
Room 110, Roberts Building, UCL
LMGN invites you to its 2013 annual conference, "Flaws". This
day-long research conference is on the themes of flaws, in source
material, in approach, in theory and in our own understanding of
the period. Professor John Arnold will give the keynote talk,
entitled 'Flaws in Medieval Belief'. Please email email@example.com for further information.
Friday 6 December 17.00 - 19.00
Seminar Room 3, Courtauld Institute of Art, Somerset House, Strand
All Masters and PhD medievalists of all disciplines are welcome to attend the next seminar of the London Medieval Graduate Network:
Ann Adams (Courtauld) Post-mortem diplomacy: the tombs of Anne of Burgundy and Isabella of Bourbon
Mary Wellesley (UCL) Authorship and Authority in Manuscripts of John Lydgate's Life of Our Lady
Henrietta Nasmyth (UCL) Virtú, Intelletto, Scienza & Arte
These meetings allow for a relaxed, round-table discussion, and provide postgraduates with the opportunity to communicate their own approaches and interests to fellow researchers from across the various institutions of London.
This month's seminar is being combined with the Courtauld’s own student medieval work in progress seminar.
Join us for these presentations, discussion and drinks!
Any further questions can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
London Medieval Graduate Network Monthly Seminars
In these monthly meetings, members of LMGN get together to share their work and discuss developments in the field over a glass of wine and some nibbles! Details of the next seminar will follow shortly.
