The course aims at developing higher-level accuracy and fluency skills in both spoken and written Greek through the use of authentic material from a wide variety of registers and communicative contexts. The presentation of this material is integrated into a series of functional and interaction activities.
Students are introduced to complex grammatical and syntactic phenomena of Greek through various communicative activities that relate the linguistic forms to their functions and contextual uses. In addition to exposure to oral interaction activities, the course encourages the undertaking of small-scale writing projects (frequently involving group-work).
