• implementing and developing the School’s strategy for use of innovative teaching methods across the academic units in their remit
• building and maintaining academic and administrative content on taught module areas on an electronic platform
• ensuring that academic staff are adequately trained in the use of any e-learning system supported by the College
• providing comprehensive administrative support to the Programme Boards of Examiners in CHS, Classics and History, and any another committees e.g. Departmental Teaching Committees
• managing the undergraduate and postgraduate taught assessments process for CHS, Classics and History
• overseeing the allocation of taught students to personal tutors and mentors/buddies, and the allocation of taught students to modules and teaching/seminar groups within modules
• managing the administration of the suite of programmes and modules offered by CHS, Classics and History
• managing the local module selection/allocation process
• providing comprehensive and authoritative advice for all taught students on relevant programme regulations
• ensuring that the information provided to students in any taught programme-specific online or paper handbooks is accurate, and maintaining and editing that information
• purchasing and procurement for the departments and the administrative offices as required
