Departments

Responsibilities

  • planning, building, managing and maintaining the websites for the departments
  • promotion of the relevant departments and their academic programmes
  • managing strategies for the recruitment and retention of students through relevant portals, microsites and other social media.
  • managing the administration of the suite of programmes and modules offered by CHS, Classics and History
  • managing the local module selection/allocation process
  • providing comprehensive and authoritative advice for all taught students on relevant programme regulations
  • providing comprehensive administrative support to the relevant Programme Boards of Examiners in CHS, Classics and History, and any another committee meetings
  • managing the taught assessments process for CHS, Classics and History 
  • day-to-day management of relationships with intercollegiate and inter-institutional and international partners
  • acting as Combined Studies co-ordinator for the students in their relevant departments
  • acting as Library Tutor for these departments
  • collating prize nominations for students in their departments
  • purchasing and procurement for the departments and the administrative offices as required
