The Classics Society
We are a society run by annually elected students who endeavour to attend to your every classical need. Current members represent a wide variety of different disciplines within the college, as it is undisputable that Classics touches upon many aspects of the Western world. The Society is now one of the biggest in the University, and is continuing to grow every week. We now also have a Fanpage on Facebook, KCL Classics Events.

What do we do?
Our aim is to unite all those who share the same passion for the classical world, whether it be appreciating the televised Rome series or reading Homer in the original! We aim to provide lectures, trips abroad, theatre outings, themed parties, private tours around museums and nights out to name but a few! We keep an eye on the calendars of the museums and advertise for all relevant events. Our alliances with other humanities societies, such as the History Society, KCL Debating, War Society and the English Society enables us to hold joint events, as do our links with the UCL Classics Society.
The Classics Society provides you with many opportunities to engage with all that London has to offer in both the ancient and modern sense. No previous knowledge is necessary, just bring along your curiosity and an open mind as there is something for everyone! It's definitely a great way to meet the other students in the department.
How can I join?
Simply go to the KCL Student Union on Surrey Street (just off the Strand) and on the 1st floor is the student centre, where you can pay in your subscription (currently £5) and register as a member.
