Finally, we should note that PhD students at CMCI have linkage with the King's Interdisciplinary Social Sciences Doctoral Training Centre (KISS-DTC), funded by £5.2 million from the Economic and Social Research Council (ERSC) to support postgraduate studentships and training in the social sciences. During the current school year, CMCI is proud to have two PhD students who were awarded fully-funded studentships for three years as part of the ESRC KISS-DTC programme. For more details on the KISS-DTC, please consult their web pages.

Other Doctoral Information
In other news concerning PhD students, a group of Arts & Humanities PhD students, including Laura Speers, have set up an Arts & Humanities Researchers' Society to present research-related events and workshops for PhD students across the Arts & Humanities. They seek to provide a friendly and informal forum for researchers to meet other researchers, talk about their work, and to learn from others. The first event of the 2012/13 academic year is entitled 'Things I wish I'd known when I started my PhD' where third and fourth year PhD students will be sharing their tips and knowledge on the PhD process for first year PhD students. It will be held from 1-2pm in the Council Room on Friday 7th December.
