MA Digital Asset Management

MA Digital Asset Management

The MA in Digital Asset Management responds to a growing demand for digitally literate professionals to work in cultural heritage institutions and in the digital content industries, which are a key component of future economic developments in Europe, Asia and the US. The MA will be of interest to anybody planning to work in or research digital archives, media asset management or digital curation in science and business.

Students will be equipped with a range of essential strategic, technical and practical skills to provide direction and leadership in the area of digital asset management. The teaching concentrates especially on complex digital media objects.

These essential skills are complemented with the teaching of comparative methodologies enabling students to understand competing theories and practices from across asset management, library and information science, thus providing a well-rounded understanding of the requirements across domains. The internship programme allows students to gain professional experience in London - a global hub for the creative and content industries.

The MA in Digital Asset Management is taught by staff in Digital Humanities and the Centre for e-Research at King’s College London.
