'Debate Europe' Daniel Cohn-Bendit

Daniel Cohn-Bendit

On 28 February, the King’s College London European Society supported by the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in Law and Governance, had the honour to host Mr Daniel Cohn-Bendit, once the flamboyant leader of the May 1968 student revolt, now MEP and one of Europe's most original and convincing political commentators. Mr Cohn-Bendit shared with an audience of over 200 people his 'certaine idée de l’Europe’. During a question and answer session, students passionately debated topics such as: the breakup of the European Union's political project; the French electoral crossroads of 2012; the puzzling rise of populist parties in Europe and the impact of the Eurozone crisis on Franco-German relations.
