6AAGLC02 Translation from and into German III

Module description

This module is compulsory for native German speakers.

It is an optional module for NON-native German speakers (although please note that a high level of linguistic competency is required).

This module is aimed at students with a high command of both the German and the English language. The purpose of the module is to analyse, discuss and practise highly complex grammatical and stylistic elements emerging from the texts discussed in class. It is indispensable for students to have a highly developed competence of various grammatical points, including syntactic and lexical characteristics and metalanguage. The used material will exclusively be taken from complex authentic sources (media texts, literary texts). The module is not designed to be training for professional translators.

Before choosing this module, non-native German speakers are strongly advised to consult with the module convenor.
