Joint MA programme

The departments of History at King's and Georgetown University offer a joint two-year MA in Global, International & Comparative History programme. This joint MA programme offers students:

  • Unrivalled access to the research and cultural resources of the capital cities of the United States and the United Kingdom
  • An enormous range of optional modules covering almost every region of the globe and a variety of transnational themes
  • Access to the combined talents of two world-class History departments, with strengths in modern and early modern British, Imperial, and continental European history (King's) as well as Middle Eastern, Russian & East European, East and South Asian, Latin American, African, US and Environmental History (Georgetown).
  • Scope for independent research exploring specific connections and rigorous comparisons that creatively link various regional and national histories.
