Film Studies
Ranked best for the study of film in the UK by the Guardian League Tables 2011, and with top results in the National Student Satisfaction Survey, the Film Studies department has a stellar reputation for teaching quality and for world-leading research. A Film Studies major offers the critical, historical, and theoretical tools needed to understand and appreciate the creative potential of cinematic and electronic images and to assess how they mediate our experience of the world. King’s provides the ideal geographical position for this major: close to the IMAX, the BFI (British Film Institute) Southbank and the BFI Library.
