Catalan Language Resources


Catalan is a Romance language, the national and the only official language of Andorra, and a co-official language in the Spanish autonomous communities of Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Valencian Community, where it is known as Valencian. It is also spoken, with no official recognition, in the autonomous communities of Aragon (in La Franja) and Murcia (in Carche) in Spain and Pyrénées-Orientales in France.

Catalan Resources Catalogue
The PDF file contains all resources for Catalan that can be found in the Language Resources Centre. It is divided into 3 categories:

In the 'Notes' column you will find details of, for example, CDs that accompany textbooks and vice versa. Other information had been included throughout the catalogue to help identify a specific item if viewing these off-site.

This website provides you with the basics of the Catalan language, mainly common phrases to use as well as vocabulary.

Learn Catalan phrases and use the games to test your vocabulary knowledge.
