In the OLC you will find:

language software packages for CALL (computer-assisted language learning)

24 PC workstations with Internet access

foreign language textbooks, grammar books, dictionaries and other reference material

daily and weekly newspapers and magazines

feature films and documentaries on DVD and VHS formats

a selection of language learning audio CDs and CD-ROMs

friendly and welcoming staff to advise on how to make the most efficient use of the open learning facilities
You may not remove any materials from the OLC; all materials are for reference only.
Students can use these facilities to supplement their class work and private study.
Emphasis is placed on acquiring transferable skills such as communication, team-working, C&IT and “learning how to learn”.

For students and staff. If you wish to meet with an OLC member of staff to suggest resources and give feedback or input, then please feel free to call in at the following days/times:
Monday 1-2pm
Tuesday 6-7pm
Thursday 3-4pm
