Lectureship in Music

Applications are invited for a Lectureship in the Department of Music, starting by September 2012. The successful applicant will have expertise either in Anthropology of Music/Ethnomusicology/Popular Music, or in any aspect of music history over the last 200 years.

The successful candidate will have a PhD in Music (or a related subject), will contribute significantly to our reputation in research and teaching, and will have a proven record of scholarship and research at an international level. Teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including the supervision of research students, will be an important part of the post, as will playing an active role in Departmental administration.

The closing date for applications is 10 February 2012, and interviews are scheduled for the week beginning 05 March 2012.

The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications within the Grade 6 or 7 scale, currently £33,193 to £47,659, per annum, inclusive of £2,323 London Allowance, per annum.
