On Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 May 2012 George Benjamin’s music will be the subject of a retrospective at London’s South Bank Centre, part of London’s Cultural Olympiad festival.

The festival features performances by students from the Royal Academy of Music, the London Sinfonietta and the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Nicholas Collon and Benjamin himself.

The Philharmonia Orchestra performs a programme including Benjamin’s brilliant work 'Jubilation'.

There will also be a special screening of the fascinating documentary on Benjamin, 'Omnibus: Towards Antara'.

George Benjamin is the Henry Purcell Professor of Composition in the Music Department at King's College London.
