In progress: Alexandra Papadapolous (‘Mozart’s Piano Concertos and the Idea of Persona’). This critical examination of Mozart’s piano concertos attempts to define and explicate ‘persona’ as it relates to the works, particularly with respect to analysis and performance.
Recently completed: Dominic McHugh (‘Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady’, 2009). This dissertation documents a large number of new sources for a ‘classic’ musical and demonstrates how these sources can be used to forge a new and compelling critical reading of the work.
