International Students: welcome!
The Philosophy Department welcomes applications from students wishing to take one or more philosophy courses as part of their Study Abroad programme.
The Department is one of the strongest in the UK. It offers top quality courses in the core topics of philosophy, but also an unusually wide range of optional courses, covering all areas of the history of philosophy and contemporary philosophy.
Our emphasis on small-group teaching in tutorials and seminars makes King’s an excellent place for study abroad students allowing for high individual attention and guidance through the English university system. We believe that close interaction between teachers and students is fundamental to the experience of a good philosophy degree. Therefore we combine lectures with a system of weekly tutorials (level 4 modules) as well as staff-led seminars (level 5 and level 6 modules). For more on our teaching arrangements, see our undergraduate pages.
