Travel disruption

The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) has announced five days of industrial action in April and May, which are likely to cause severe disruption to tube lines and other public transport during the following periods:

  • Around 21:00 on Monday 28 April 2014 until 20:59 on Wednesday 30 April 2014
  • Around 21:00 on Monday 5 May 2014 until 20:59 on Thursday 8 May 2014

These dates coincide with revision week (w/c 28 April) and the start of the May exam period respectively.

Update 30 April 2014, 13.00:

The College has now informed us that all morning examinations taking place at ExCeL London during the week of 5 May have had their start time delayed until 10.30. Furthermore, you may be asked to provide details of your journey: see the Examinations and Awards Office website for full details.

Please refer to the Examinations and Awards Office website for up-to-date information about centrally-organised exams taking place at the ExCeL centre. This page may be updated in due course once the impact of the strikes has been assessed.

Likewise, revision activities and locally-organised exams (e.g. oral/aural exams, in-class tests) will generally go ahead as usual, but please check the table below for any exceptions affecting your department.

If there are any changes to departmental exam arrangements you will be notified immediately by email.
