Heather took courses at the King's Music Department.
Coming to London has been an incredible opportunity- the city has such an international vibe, and with King’s being in the middle of the city, you really do feel like you’re at the centre of the world. I thought I would be ready to go home by December, but now I don’t want to leave!
Because of the Study Abroad Excellence Award I was able to travel around the UK for a month before starting at King’s in September. Being able to discover the rest of the country was an invaluable experience. It showed me what life is like outside of the city, and I’ve enjoyed meeting people in London who live in all the places I visited!
I love that the study abroad program at King’s has you directly enrolled in the university as a regular student. I have immensely benefited from my modules here in the music department where the teaching is fantastic, and I was able to take subjects that could directly transfer to my department at home.
I also love how easy it is to get involved with clubs or societies from the moment you arrive. I joined the Christian Union my first weekend here, and have made friendships that will definitely continue after I leave! Thank you so much for giving me the opportunities that came with the King’s Excellence Award - I was really honored to be selected.
