Research Divisions
Biomedical research activities at King’s College London are coordinated and integrated through Research Divisions across all of our Health Schools and campuses. Research strengths in the School of Biomedical Sciences include: developmental neurobiology; biophysics and cell biology; human physiological function and adaptation in health and disease; the mechanisms of ageing and intervention strategies to ameliorate the ageing process; drug discovery, delivery and mode of action and detection; the relationship between environment and health; and analytical sciences.
Our research excellence is well recognised – many of our research groups were top rated in the last HEFCE Research Assessment Exercise. The School hosts two prestigious MRC centres in Environment & Health and Developmental Neurobiology.
