Postgraduate research programmes (PhD)

The Institute of Pharmaceutical Science (IPS) has a vibrant graduate research community with over 60 students who are embedded within the Institute’s five research groups. Staff have a wide range of research interests so there are plenty of opportunities for students to choose from a wide array of research projects. Work is typically laboratory-based but the Institute also offers molecular simulation and pharmacy practice projects.

Students can apply at any time for a PhD position. It is advised that self-funded students apply at least three months before the proposed starting date. The King's College London graduate pages contain the online postgraduate prospectus, information on the programmes available and how to apply as well as information on current funding opportunities.

IPS offers a number of funded studentship opportunities (typically funded from Research Councils, charities, industry and the King’s Graduate School). To view a list of our currently available studentships please visit the Health School's Studentship site.
