Summer accommodation

King's students

The College has a number of programmes with extended teaching dates and these may not correspond with the standard 40 week period of residence.

Residents who are enrolled on a programme with extended teaching dates have an opportunity to apply for extended accommodation in a King's residence of between 1 and 11 weeks during the summer vacation period from 23 June - 08 September 2012 in accordance with their programme dates. Please note you do not have to be living in residence already to apply.

Please note that residents should expect to move to another room or residence at the end of their standard 40 week Residence Agreement.

Please see the attached document Non Standard Teaching Dates 2011-12 to see if you are eligible. If in doubt please contact Accommodation Services.

Application deadline

Applications can be made from now and the deadline is 15 March. Although applications can be accepted after this date, availability is reduced.

How to apply

You can apply for accommodation via the My Accommodation Online Application Facility or alternatively download a paper copy of the application form (pdf, 385 KB). Before completing the application, please read the My Accommodation Entry 2011 brochure carefully for information on the application procedure and allocations policy.

In order to access the online application, you will need to enter the username and password provided by your School Office at King’s. These login details will be provided within the offer letter confirming your place of study at the College.

The Conference and Timetabling Services office also offer special rates for summer accommodation for King's students who wish to stay in a residence for non academic purposes. Accommodation in some of our residences is available during the summer vacation, via the King's Conference and Timetabling Services office, even if you were not in College accommodation during the academic year.

Students who have not found accommodation may book temporary accommodation during the summer vacation through the Conference and Timetabling Services and come to Accommodation Services for further assistance.
