Did you know that a number of organisations run interactive games and business challenges for students? There are also a number of regualr surveys of students' views on employers and careers, many of which offer prizes as incentives for taking part.
Competition gives you a unique opportunity to get hands-on experience in areas such as marketing, journalism, financial trading, project management or even setting up your own business.

Design the winning screen saver in Coram Children’s Legal Centre’s competition for young people!
Young people with an artistic streak are being invited to enter a national competition to design a screen saver promoting a free legal service which helps children and young people.
Coram Children’s Legal Centre (CCLC), a charity which specialises in law and policy affecting children and young people, is holding the contest to raise awareness of its new Child Law Advice online service. The service, funded by the Department of Education, offers free advice on family, child and education law for every parent, carer and young person in England. Those aged 16 to 24 are invited to submit designs for a screen saver which represents the theme of ‘Justice for children and young people.’ The winning design will be turned into a screen saver and be nationally distributed to a wide range of individuals and organisations who may wish to use the service themselves or signpost it to parents and children they work with. They will also win £100 voucher.

Zeitgeist Young Minds
a competition to find 10 pioneers, change-makers and leaders of tomorrow aged 18 – 24, across Europe, Middle East and Africa*. The winners will take their place alongside the greatest visionaries of today at Google Zeitgeist 2012 near London on May 20th – 22nd

AWin a month long paid internship with Arup International Development
- The competition asks students and graduates to look at what makes a city resilient, and present their ideas in poster format.
- The prize is a month long paid internship at Arup International Development in London this summer, and there will be a high-profile awards ceremony and commendations for 10-20 shortlisted entrants.
- The deadline is April 6th 2012, but entrants are asked to register their interest beforehand.

Rise to the Enterprise Business Challenge
Rise To is an enterprise challenge for young people. It is a chance for young people to gain valuable skills and experience for the workplace, whilst engaging in positive activities within their community. The challenge is supported by IBM, MTV and Studentbeans.com and will be judged by important and successful people within the enterprise community, including Tim Campbell (first winner of The Apprentice), James Eder (co-founder of Studentbeans.com), Georgia Arnold (CSR at MTV) and Mike Clare (founder of Dreams Beds). The winning teams and individuals will get unique prizes such as internships shadowing successful entrepreneurs and cash prizes. There are also lots of opportunities for all participants, including unique internships, training courses and job offers.
The Challenge runs for 6 weeks from the beginning of February. During that time, teams run a campaign to promote someone or something that they believe deserves thanks.
