Skills & Employability
When applying for graduate jobs you will be up against many equally qualified candidates.
What is it that will make the employer choose you over someone else?
These days employers are looking for more than just a good degree. Greater emphasis is being placed on transferable skills and employability.
Employers tell us this nearly every day:
"...a strong academic background alone is no longer sufficient. DLA Piper looks for highly motivated and energetic team players with sound commercial awareness, outstanding communication and organisational skills."
DLA Piper (2009)
In our Employability podcast, three employers from three different sectors talk about the skills they look for in applicants for graduate jobs.
