Themed Weeks

Entrepreneurship Week

Entrepreneurship - what's it all about?

Being creative? Getting an idea from your head to the market place? Setting up a business? Or just working for yourself?

Entrepreneurship Week, launched in 2012,  covers all of this - how you can make your idea happen and what you need to do to protect your ideas and set up legally. You'll also hear from entrepreneurs who have been there, seen it, done it and succeeded!

We received some great feedback from students:

  • The quality of the speakers you had in was really top class
  • The event was interactive and down to earth
  • New ways of looking at how to begin with a start-up
  • Over Entrepreneur Week I learnt how to develop my idea into a plan of action, where to go for funding, who to speak to for advice, how to structure my business and where to meet people who share my vision. I was surprised at how easy it is, how much help is on offer, and how exciting it is to create your own job. Although being an entrepreneur is not for everyone, anyone can do it.

Entrepreneurship 2013 will take place in the Spring Term, so look out for dates and event details.
