Personalised Examination Provisions (PEP)

How to apply

The purpose of Personalised Examination Provisions (PEP) is to provide an environment that gives all students an equal opportunity for assessment. 

All applications for personalised examination provisions require specific supporting evidence and there are strict deadlines for each examination period (see below).  Please choose from the following options for the relevant information and application forms:

Learning Difficulties

Medical Conditions

Alternative Venue and Distance Learning

Deadlines

Complete applications (form and supporting evidence, where necessary) must be submitted by the appropriate deadline.  Applications received after the deadline will be held on file until the following examination period.

 

Deadlines for students with learning difficulties and/or medical conditions:
Friday 4 November 2016 for exams during Examination Period 1
Friday 24 February 2017 for exams during Examination Period 2 
Friday 14 July 2017 for exams during Examination Period 3
Deadlines for students applying to sit overseas (including students on Distance Learning programmes*):
Friday 2 December 2016 for exams during Examination Period 1
Wednesday 22 March 2017 for exams during Examination Period 2
Friday 14 July 2017 for exams during Examination Period 3

Deadline for exams held outside of the main Examination Periods:

If the first exam for which you require exam provisions is outside of the main Examination Periods, then you must submit your completed application at least 3 weeks prior to the date of your exam. 

*For students from the Unit of Distance Learning (Dentistry) who have exams in September 2017, the deadline for applications will be Friday 14th July 2017.

 

Exceptions to the deadlines:

Exceptions will NOT be made to any of these deadlines, except in the case of applications in regards to medical conditions where the accidental injury or acute illness is incurred after the prescribed deadline. In these instances, applications will be considered only if possible and appropriate.
