Student Life

Clubs & Societies

Whether you’ve been doing it for years or you just feel like trying something new, there are an enormous variety of sports clubs, societies, volunteering opportunities, student media and campaigning groups where you can get involved, make new friends, have some fun and be part of the student community.

King's College London Students' Union (KCLSU) provides both financial and logistical support to help these activities run smoothly, but it is up to you how these activities are organised. You’re spoilt for choice, but if there’s something you feel is missing, KCLSU can also help you get your own student activity group up and running.

Sports teams

The majority of sports teams take part in nationally-recognised British Universities & Colleges Sports (BUCS) fixtures, offering you the chance to shine in your chosen sport at all levels. There’s a club to suit most tastes, but if there isn’t we’ll help you to get one started up. KCLSU has access to all College-owned facilities and has strong links within the University of London to help maximise the competition and participation.

Interest societies

Gospel ChoirThere are over 100 societies you could join, varying from politics and debate, to comedy, musical theatre, and everything in between. The Greenwood Theatre is just one of the facilities available for society use, and the various events each society organises are highlights in the social calendar. The King’s Diwali Show is now in its 17th year and is the biggest student event in the UK.
