King's Dental Research Society

Call for Academics

King’s Dental Research Society (King’s DRS), newly launched this academic year and run entirely by dental students, is calling for academics who would be interested in having a dental undergraduate to assist in some of their research. The term ‘research’ in this context is broad and can be anything within the Dental Institute: including laboratory projects; data collection/analysis; clinical audits, and much more.

Currently only a small proportion of undergraduates have any research experience, which is something we would like to change! King’s DRS are looking to make students more aware of research opportunities within the dental institute, to inform and inspire their clinical practice, and perhaps even to spark an interest in a clinical academic career. We are hoping to develop research opportunities available during the academic year. This would especially give students who are unable to do a summer studentship or intercalated BSc a chance to still get involved.

How can you get involved?

King’s DRS are compiling a bank of academics and projects who are willing to be contacted by students wishing to engage in research activity.

If you are an academic or clinician who is happy to help involve an undergraduate in your research, please fill in the form below so we can add you to our list!
