My lab is interested in understanding how synaptic connections between neurons are generated during development, and how these processes are disrupted in neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism.

We utilise a combination of functional imaging and electrophysiology to study developing circuits in a variety of in vitro systems, including cultured primary neurons (rats, transgenic mice) and neurons derived from inducible pluripotent stem cells taken from human patients.
