Tom Franck was one of the most significant international lawyers in the English-speaking world during the past half-century: May 27th is the first anniversary of his death. Two centres in the School of Law at SOAS, the Centre for the study of Colonialism, Empire and International Law, and the Sir Joseph Hotung Programme for Law, Human Rights and Peace Building in the Middle East, have decided to commemorate this by organising a symposium in which friends, colleagues and former students of Tom Franck will examine his legacy.
