The School of Law is pleased to announce its exciting forthcoming conference of June 16 and June 17, 2011: Moral Values and Private Law. Over five sessions, spanning contract, property, restitution, tort, and equity generally, the conference seeks to question what moral philosophy can, does or must contribute to the understanding and development of private law.

The papers will range in subject matter from the historical influence of moral philosophy upon legal development to the use of moral philosophy to theorise particular areas of the law to the direct application of moral-philosophical arguments to particular doctrinal problems.
