CEL Seminar State Aid and Taxation
The Impact of European Law on national fiscal policies is one of the most controversial issues in most Member states, including the UK. Recent high profile cases such as Gibraltar and British Aggregates have once again brought to the fore the questions of state aid law application to national tax measures. The seminar will address how far state aid control can affect and limit national fiscal sovereignity and the possible distortion of competition that tax mesure s can created in an integrated market.
