ICPS visits Mongolia

ICPS Director Rob Allen visited Mongolia between 1st and 5th March to assess the scope for a training initiative for prison staff. Rob held discussions with the UK Ambassador, Directors from the Department of Execution of Court Decisions in the Ministry of Justice and with leading NGO Prison Fellowship International. He visited eight prisons including the juvenile prison (pictured) which is housed in the staff quarters of the former TB hospital in Ulaan Bataar. It is hoped that a week of training and other events will be organised in May 2009.
