How to find the local Coroner
The local telephone directory will list the coroner’s court or the coroner’s officer (under "Courts" or "Coroner"). There are also national lists in most law directories. However, there is a list of all coroners, with contact details, in England and Wales (unfortunately, not completely up to date) on the Internet, in Appendix 2, Part A, to the revised (2002) The Treasure Act 1996 Code of Practice. Some coroners (many in the USA, very few elsewhere) maintain a website or webpage. Contact details for Northern Ireland coroners are found on the last page of the booklet The Work of the Coroner's Office, which is available from the Northern Ireland Court Service, and is also on its website.
There is a separate page on this website dealing with the districts covered
by London coroners.
