CORPORATE MANSLAUGHTER

On 21 May 2003 the Home Secretary David Blunkett announced that the law on corporate manslughter would be reformed by primary legislation to be introduced in the autumn of 2003.

This followed an earlier set of proposals by his predecessor as Home Secretary, Jack Straw, published as long ago as 23 May 2000.

However there was no mention of any bill to reform the law on corporate manslaughter in The Queen's Speech on 26 November 2003. The Home Office website does not comment on this omission.
