Eligibility criteria

    All Nationalities
  • Applicants must be continuing graduate students, ie current part time MA students, or current full or part time research MPhil/PhD, registered in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, whose degree course involves significant study of Hebrew and/or the Old Testament or related literature.

Information about the funding
One scholarship of £600 to be awarded annually by the Department of Theology & Religious Studies to continuing graduate (i.e. current part time MA students, or current full or part time research MPhil/PhD) students registered in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies, whose degree course involves significant study of Hebrew and/or the Old Testament or related literature.

The friends and former pupils of the Reverend Alexander McCaul, DD, presented to the College, money for the purpose of founding Prizes which should bear his name.

Information about the application
The Scholarship is awarded for one year. The holder may apply for a second year only, and the application will be considered alongside any other new applications.

Value of award
£600

Specified use
One scholarship of £600 in the form of a stipend.
