Best practice in supervision

There is already excellent supervision practice in many parts of the College, and the Graduate School is keen to encourage its further dissemination.
This section will therefore focus on Best Practice in Supervision, this will provide a bank of good practice at King's. Other pages will alert you to the courses and conferences the Graduate School organizes to encourage you to refresh your supervision skills.
The Graduate School launched the new Distinguished Supervisor Awards in 2006/07 which were designed to recognise and reward Supervisors who had an exemplary record of supervision. We asked nominated supervisors to identify what they considered to be good practice, and their collective suggestions have been drawn up into the 2007/08 document for Supervisory Good Practice.
