During my first week
Once you have completed staff registration, you will need to get your College membership card, and your username and password for the College's email, intranet and web-based services.
College membership card
The College membership card should be carried at all times whilst on College premises to help maintain proper control of personal and building security.
The card has three main functions:
-
To act as a means of identity on College premises.
-
To provide access across all of the College Campuses using the various swipe access systems installed. Please note that you will need to activate your card at each of the campus sites to which you require access.
-
To enable users to borrow material from the libraries after completing the application for library use form.
The College membership card is issued to you by your local Site Services / Facilities Office and their staff will inform you of the areas on the Campus where the card may be used for access.
Some areas within the College are designated as 'restricted areas' and entry is only given to authorised members of staff. Your line manager will advise if you require authorisation for access to any restricted areas.
