Inaugural lecture by Professor Andrew Prescott, Head of the Department of Digital Humanities, to mark the merger of the Centre for e-Research with the Department of Digital Humanities and the appointment of Professor Prescott as Head of the Department of Digital Humanities.

7 November 2011 New projects funded at CeRch CeRch has received funding totalling more than £800k from the JISC Content Programme for 2011-13 for two new projects: Digital Exposure of English Place names and Linking Parliamentary Records through Metadata.
3 November 2011 Sheila Anderson at MediaPro 2011 CeRch Director Sheila Anderson was invited to participate at the annual MediaPro event in London to discuss the future of Digital Asset Management in Education. Sheila participated in a panel discussion run by the Digital Asset Management Foundation.
7 September 2011 Readiness for REF (R4R) Workshop at the British Computing Society in London. This event presented the findings of the R4R project including plugins for ePrints, DSpace and Fedora. The event also looked to the evaluation of Impact through the MICE project.
25 August 2011 Digital Asset Management for the Content Industry is a new module for the MADAM programme that aims to provide an understanding of the importance of digital asset management in modelling and representing information in an enterprise environment, especially in the content industry.
18 August 2011 Stuart Dunn at the Turing Festival Stuart discussed 'digital ghosts' and how they can enhance our understanding of archaeological sites at this year's Turing Festival in Edinburgh which ran alongside the Edinburgh International Festival on 26th-28th August.
16 August 2011 Digital forensics for archivists training archivisits to apply digital forensics techniques, normally used by the police, for archival research. Digital forensics is a branch of forensic science used in law enforcement that is concerned with the recovery and investigation of material found on digital devices.
23 July 2011 New NT Live season announced the new season wil begin on 15 September with One Man, Two Guvnors starring James Corden. The collaboration with the National Theatre is part of the innovative programme of events in the Anatomy Theatre & Museum (ATM), the series is curated by CeRch.
