Biography

Tobias is the co-director of the MA in Digital Asset Management and is on the Centre’s Senior Team. His academic background is in philosophy and computer science. Tobias tried to become a philosopher for a while in Berlin concentrating mainly on German philosophy and classical logics, but nobody wanted to pay him for doing it, so he changed career and became a computer scientist. Before joining King's in 2007, Tobias worked at Credit Suisse in the city of London, at Free University Berlin, and several smaller media companies in Berlin. He did a PhD on the concept of evil in German philosophy at the Free University Berlin. His computer science PhD was on the theoretical evaluation of XML retrieval using Situation Theory at the University of Glasgow.
